Conflux draft walkthrough – Domain
Drafting a 5-color deck is weird to me (I haven’t been around in Invasion block), so I decided to try and aim for a Domain deck too see how if feels.
This means I picked the best spells from all colors, with emphasis on playability/splashability, starting from Shards (and of course aimed for Domain spells in Conflux).

It’s been about two weeks between the draft and now, and I’m lazying off about writing more about it (plus I don’t remember it by now). Will try to make it up in my next walkthrough.

Dragonsoul Knight over Banefire? Really?
REALLY?
19/3/09, 9:25ripper234:
It’s a very good question, and I’m not sure my pick is the right now – but consider that in a deck like mine, the knight has an excellent chance of being a 7/3 trampler first-striker. More often than not he’s a must-kill creature and will trade for a removal (although usually a sub-par removal).
Why do you think Banefire >> Dragonsoul Knight ?
19/3/09, 11:05bob:
Because banefire wins games…

I rarely get enough mana to power banefire to actually win a game, but usually I end up using it as a rather costly removal spell.
